Meta Tag Lists

Meta tag lists are used on particular search pages to show the meta tags contained in the list as additional search criteria and/or display them in the results table as additional output columns.
Whether a search page uses a meta tag list or not is however stipulated by the implementation and cannot be influenced by the user. The user can also not create their own meta tag lists but rather only edit existing lists in the backend.
At the current time meta tag lists are primarily used in connection with on-screen reports in order to be able to expand the selection of filter criteria in the detail view to include user-specific object meta tags or output them in the results table.

Functions of the Meta Tag List Manager

Edit

A meta tag list is actually comprised of two lists that are managed in separate tabs:

  • "Criteria for extended search": The entries in this list are available as fields in the extended search and can be shown as additional search criteria

  • "Tables": The entries in this list are also available as additional output columns and can be included in the results table.

The functions in the toolbar enable the user

  • to add new meta tags to a list

  • remove individual meta tags from a list

  • change the order of the entries in a list

The "Standard" checkbox controls whether a list entry is displayed by default as an output line or included as a search criterion or only provided to the user as an option.
