Configuration Manager - Clearances

This is an important configuration area as it's where all default clearance rules for objects other than users are set, as well as a few other settings like "Secure course requests". Default clearances for users is defined in business rules either uploaded in "Configuration → Import" or in the "Clients → Settings tab".

What does the setting do?

Use explicit group membership

Determines the members of the target groups MANAGER, GROUP, CREATORGROUP. <br/>true: Rights to objects defined for the target members of a group apply only to the members of the explicitly designated groups. <br/>false: Rights to objects that have been defined for target members of a group apply to all implied members of the designated groups, i.e. the designated groups themselves as well as all their parent groups.

User selection lists include the logged in user


Default Clearances

Here it can be defined which clearances should automatically given to objects.

For the following rights can be defined:

  • Creator as owner

  • Creator groups (ALL)

  • Creator groups (role content administrator

  • Creator groups (function: super user)

  • Creator client

  • User

  • Groups

  • Clients

  • All groups

  • All clients

Full rights can be granted, but specific authorisations can also be given like:

  • Create

  • Copy

  • Edit

  • Delete

  • Save

  • Release

  • Versioning

  • Participant administration

  • Course instructions

  • Newsroom

  • Notifications

  • Audit log

  • Assign

  • Download

  • Edit syllabus

  • Access to the learning path-syllabus

  • Change registration status

  • Change participant status

  • Move participants (Frontend)

  • Replace participants (Frontend)
