Settings here are used to configure the Platform access.

Setting

What does the setting do?

Show check profile

Activation of this setting will show users their front-end user profile, where they can check or amend attribute values. Note that where interfaces update user records, the changes made by the user may be overwritten.

Privacy Policies

The privacy policy, which is displayed at the first login, can be edited in the backend under the navigation point "System texts". The following bundle names can be searched here:

  • strPersonPrivacyPolicy0

  • strLoginUserUsedFrontendData1

  • strLoginUserUsedFrontendData2

  • strLoginUserCommit

Alternatively, the best way to search under System texts is always to enter the text in the search field and search.

Setting

What does the setting do?

Identifier

Identifier of the general terms and conditions. The text of a set of general terms and conditions consists of up to 5 text modules which are defined in this element.

Status

This setting is used to deactivate the privacy policy meaning it will no longer be shown.

Cancellation URL (500 characters max.)

Determines the URL that will be called up by LMS when the user denies the general terms and conditions.

Bundle name (100 characters max.)

Privacy policy text is referenced from wording bundles defined in the ‘System texts’ function where there are twenty standard wordings or new can be created. The ‘Bundle name’ is the string value shown in the ‘Name’ column. This bundle refers to the privacy policy title.

Confirmation text bundle name (100 characters max.)

System text bundle that defines the text to prompt approval of General Terms and Conditions (will be displayed next to the check box).

Policy changes text bundle name (100 characters max.)

System text bundle that defines a text that contains the most important recent changes to the general terms and conditions.

Policy changes confirmation text bundle name (100 characters max.)

System text bundle that specifies the name of the localization variable that contains the text of the most important changes to the general terms and conditions. This text will be shown next to a check box.

Conditions

Rules can be created using xml to assign privacy policy guidelines to specific groups or clients.

Bundle name

Privacy policies can be comprised in multiple paragraphs which are represented by wording bundles defined in the ‘System texts’ function where there are twenty standard wordings or new can be created. The ‘Bundle name’ is the string value shown in the ‘Name’ column. A minimum of one paragraph is to be used.

Show frontend profile

Enabling this setting will show the user all the personal attributes that will be stored against their record in the front end profile that they can see.

Show backend profile

Enabling this setting will show the user all the personal attributes that will be stored against their record in the back end profile that they do not see.
