Configuration Manager - User

The "User" menu contains a few configuration options specific to users including allowing "Delta" imports, deactivating users x days after the last login, and a fallback SSO unique identifier attribute (LDAP, Windows SSO, OIDC).

Setting

What does the setting do?

Delta Import

Passivate all users x days after last login

Defines the number of days after which a user will be deactivated, if the user did not login to the system since the specified number of days.

SSO remote user profile attribute

Determines which user profile attribute returns the method getRemoteUser(). The value of this parameter must be an existing column in the PERSON or PERSON_CUSTOM tables whose content is suitable for clearly identifying a LMS user. Important: If a client-specific attribute (from the PERSON_CUSTOM table) is entered here which is subsequently deleted by the administrator, this results in a runtime error.

Termination Mode

This setting defines the “Deregistration types” that are available to the administrator when “scheduling” users. ("Scheduling" icon in the user management). The active deregistration type is saved in the user profile attribute “deactivationmode_id”.Note: Regardless of this parameter, the option “None” is always available to the administrator, such that the user will never be deactivated in the scheduling process.

Manual

The user should be manually deactivated by an administrator on the date specified in the profile attribute deactivationtime_proposed. If this does not happen, the corresponding status will be shown in the profile (yellow square).

Automatic

The user will be deactivated on the date specified in the profile attribute “deactivationtime_proposed”.

Line Manager Relationship Type

Superior Email (Classical): Defines the supervisor-employee relationship via the “Supervisor e-mail address” attribute in the user profile. BU Group: Defines the supervisor-employee relationship via the organisational unit. Both: combines the Superior Email (Classical) and BU Group values.

Show Active Group Memebers Only

Determines whether inactive user accounts are hidden in the group management in user lists or not. Ticked/True: Only active user accounts are displayed in the user lists in group management. Unticked/False: User accounts marked as passive are also displayed in the user lists in group management.

Account Activation Link Expiry Hours

Number of hours after a confirmation mail for user signup that a validation link is expiring. This setting relates to the “Enable activation workflow for self-registration” checkbox being ticked in the “Client” function.
