New

Objects can be pre-defined and multiplied in any number on the basis of templates or types. The specific properties and settings of the template or type are adopted and can be changed at any time. While template definitions already include formal properties, type definitions tend to include settings for objects based on the types. For some objects, no templates or types are available (e.g. positions or groups). This applies when only few specifications are required upon creation.

Courses, tests, feedback forms, job profiles and development plans are created via templates, while course templates, learning paths, media and resources are created via types.

Objects such as groups, BUs, positions do not need a pre-defined format in order to be recreated. After clicking on the “New” symbol, a pop-up appears with objects which are based on templates or types, in which the desired template and/or the desired type can be selected. Upon confirmation, a screen for creating the new object opens in a new tab. For objects which are not based on a pre-defined format, the choice of templates or type is skipped and a new screen is provided directly in the new tab.

Independently of the object, the screen contains tabs like “Description”, “Skills”, “Library” or “Job profile”.

Depending on the respective object (e.g. course or job) and its specific settings, a corresponding number of tabs is offered. Furthermore, depending on the object, more or less description attributes can be made available or description attributes can have different pre-defined values and have editing options.
