Reports

Reports serve to deliver large amounts of data in a structured and comprehensive fashion. A distinction is made between:

Standard reports
can be adapted with the report designer.
On-screen reports
provide all manager search functions and can be integrated into report panels.
WBT reports
provide extended functions for Powertrainer/Contentstudio WBTs
Wizard reports
are "guided" reports that limit the number of results gradually.

Additional standard reports may be created. For this purpose, SQL skills and familiarity with the data structure of the learning platform are required.

Functions of the Report Manager

Standard reports have a name, a description and a brief summary of their function (teaser).

Other information:

Name of exported file upon report export and report identifier
Selection of the database spreadsheets used for the report (e.g. group spreadsheet, course spreadsheet)
Selection of database fields of the selected spreadsheets to be displayed. Indication if users who view the report can select which of the aforementioned fields are to appear in the report (e.g. group name, number).
Selection of the filters to be viewed by users to limit the range of results (e.g. groups, course language)

Import Element

Standard reports can be imported from XML format. This allows to adapt reports outside of and quickly create many similar reports by importing them into the system. With the aid of this function, reports can be transported from the test system to the live system.
