Selection Lists

Entire selection lists can be used as values for personal identifiers. In this case, upon filling in the entry field "Country", for instance, users will be offered a dropdown box from which to select a country.

Functions of the Selection List Manager

Selection lists can be created and edited manually. A list name that cannot be changed later on needs to be selected first. Next, the edit page of the selection alternatives appears automatically.

Within a selection list, any number of new selection alternatives can be created. They are uniquely identified via an object ID. To facilitate their use, an individual key can also be assigned, which can for instance match the key of the third-party system which provides the personal identifier. In order to enable the permanent management of data via a third-party system, the initially chosen name of the selection list cannot be changed.

An image can be uploaded for each option. These icons can be displayed in all positions in which the user attribute is integrated into a user list or profile page, e.g. in BU-Profiles, tables and info areas. In the positions, in which only the icon is displayed, the name appears with the corresponding value in the tool tip.

Alternatively, an import function that can update the selection alternatives of a selected list via update and processing of a CSV file. The description of the new selection option will be deposited in all platform languages. If the entry already existed, it will be updated with the value of the uploaded list. Otherwise, it will be created. The identifier for each selection option will be designated "KEY". Sample file for selection list COMPANY: selectionlist.csv
