Learning Path Type Administration

Learning path types serve to facilitate the creation of learning path templates and Learning paths. For each learning path type, functions that are available for learning path template creation can be enabled or disabled and then overtaken when a learning path is created based on that learning path type. It is possible to create Learning Path Types as content driven or level based and also as Date Dependent or Duration of use. Versioning is available for learning path types.

On the description tab of learning path types the learning pathmode is set to content-driven (default) or level-based. Furthermore, the learning mode can be chosen; e.g. on-site, online, qualification:

Learning paths can be differentiated between two different learning path modes:

  • The default mode for learning path types is content-driven, if chosen the learning path is used and displayed in a layout showing all content in its folder structure at once.

  • Level-based learning paths show their content in a leveled structure, in which folders are interpreted as levels and can be reached by a user. For this further reports are available.

Planning Complexity

The planning-complexity tab determines restrictions that simplify or specify user and learning path management: The use of skills, certifications, classifications, and learning logic for the processing order of contents is defined. Also, the objects that are to be available as registration prerequisites can be determined, and it can be determined whether the selection is mandatory.
