The channel panel is a system panel for displaying user-personalized channel content to learners. It can display either the subscribed channels or the channel feed.
Panel Settings
The System “Channel Panel” is ONE system panel that can be configured to display TWO channel types by duplicating the panel for each display option. This allows the panel to be ordered on the dashboard as needed.

The tiles are displayed in descending order based on the channel with the newest update.

Channels can be accessed directly from the tiles by selecting them.

Subscribed Channel

Only Map View is available.

For subscribed channels, the number of new or updated contents is displayed.

Channel Feed

Map and Carousel Views are available.

For the channel feed, if both new and updated contents are present, the new ones are flagged with the overall number of contents.

When ratings are enabled for the channels to which the content belongs, the rating of each individual piece of content is displayed (only with the new dashboard).

Number of Shown Contents
This option specifies how many contents are displayed in the panel. If more content is available, a link to all content (e.g. all current courses) is displayed. If the field is empty, all available content is displayed.
The Carousel view provides additional configuration options for the panel contents, so that different views can be presented in the Learning Portal.
Based on the screen types, up to four tiles can be configured for the content displayed in the Learning Portal, with a maximum of one character per section. There are four screen types: Desktop HD, Desktop, Tablet and Smartphone.
In addition, the Carousel view offers two further options, which can be selected depending on the preferred display: “Display navigation dots” and “Infinite slider”.
For learning paths, this option is only available if content-driven paths are used in the panel. For level-based learning paths, only one type of display is supported, so this setting is shown as disabled.
