Providers are added to courses and learning paths as identifiers. To use different e-mail settings for providers, a client can be assigned. The e-mail addresses configured in this client are then used to send e-mails, for example for courses by this provider. Depending on the provider, the registration forms for courses and learning paths vary in the catalogue, registration messages, and cancellation reasons.
Functions of the Provider Manager
New
For each provider, a logo can be uploaded to appear on the learner's screen in:

The provider logo can also be configured via the "Metadata on Tiles" settings, which allows it to be set at a system-wide level from the Configuration Manager - Metadata on Tiles function.
Badge Provider
The LMS uses the Provider entity as a badge issuer. Providers can be configured with an option that makes the provider's details public.
An Open Badge provider must specify a URL and a contact e-mail address. Badges can also display the provider's image where a provider is associated with the badge: the provider's small logo is shown on the back of the badge card in the badge panel, and the provider's large logo is shown on the badge details page.
Edit
Opens the same fields as "New" for the selected provider.
Delete
Deleting a provider removes it as an identifier from any courses and learning paths it is assigned to.
Clearances
Access to the Provider Manager is controlled via a dedicated clearance, granted per group like other managers in the Functional Reference.
