Configuration Manager - Upload Restriction

The "Upload restriction" menu is mainly where the default max upload size is configured, along with group-specific upload limits that override the default. There are some other restrictions and limits that can be applied here for images and file names as well.

What does the setting do?

Max. upload size

Defines the maximum size of files (in MB) that can be loaded via the upload function onto the learning platform. This restriction applies to all users that are not in a group defined in the element uploadGroupSpecification.

Min. upload size

Defines the minimum size of files in bytes that can be loaded via the upload function onto the learning platform. This restriction applies to all users that are not in a group defined in the element uploadGroupSpecification.

Max. extracted size

Defines the maximum size of extratced files contained in an uploaded zip archive.

Max. file name length

Defines the maximum length of uploaded file name.

Keep uploaded zip files

Determines if uploaded zip files of WBTs and SCORM-WBTs are not deleted after upload. The zip files are renamed and moved to the directory containing the decompressed files. This feature is used to get a better download/synchronize performance at ILAW.

Max. person profile picture height

Determines if the maximally represented resolution (in pixels) of images in the user profile.Images with a higher resolution are compressed accordingly.

Max. person profile picture size

Determines the maximum size of image files (in KB) that can be loaded onto the learning platform in the people profile page.

Groups

On the “Groups” tab it is possible to restrict the max upload size per group. If a specific group is added it can be define how big the file to be uploaded can be.
