Resource Structure

The resource structure is used to categorise resources. It is automatically divided into four main branches: "Individuals", "Locations", "Devices" and "Services".

For assigning resources to courses, course templates, and the applicable media, this means that, instead of providing resources at the course-template level, a resource category alone can also be provided. The advantage is that the requirements specifying the categories from which a resource is to be selected when creating a course or a specific medium from a template or type can be defined in advance. The resource selected depends on the availability and properties of the available resources.

If a resource category is assigned to a feedback-form question located in the feedback form of a course, feedback-form questions can be duplicated for each assigned resource (e.g. "How satisfied were you with tutor A/tutor B/...?").

Resources can be assigned directly to a category from the resource structure. The opposite direction, selecting a category when creating and editing a resource, is also possible.

Naming, display, and management options are determined on the editing page. If resources of a category are assigned to a course and the category is assigned to a feedback form, the feedback-form question in the feedback form can be posed for each resource of the category. Here, it can be determined whether the category supports this function and can be selected with feedback forms.

Resource Assignment

Resources can be selected and added to or removed from a list. A resource can be assigned to a resource category when creating and editing a resource, as well as immediately in the resource structure.
