Design Upload

The system can be displayed to users in different designs. Designs mainly determine the colors and logos displayed in the system. One of these designs can be selected per client. The design a user will see is determined by his allocation to a base client in his user profile. Alternatively, the design used in the portal at the login stage to the user's internal area can be adopted. This setting is made in the navigation administration of the portal.

The design upload enables a ZIP file to be saved with all the necessary design information. The process has the simplest structure, with an existing design initially being downloaded, then modified and then uploaded again.

The "default" and "default_ie6" designs contain the original system design. They cannot be deleted or modified.

For a Learning Suite design, the design can also include designs for external applications (learning dashboard, iOS, Android). If one of these designs is assigned to a client, it is used by the external application, based on the given client and user.

Description

Download

A design can be downloaded as a ZIP file using the download procedure. This function can be used in order to modify an existing design or to use it as a basis for a new design. The modified design can be uploaded for a new or existing design via "New" or "Edit".

Designlayout

Options are:

  • Header sticky: A "sticky header" refers to a header that remains fixed at the top of the page as you scroll down. This feature is commonly used in web design to keep navigation menus or important information accessible without needing to scroll back to the top of the page.

  • Header staked: The header is fixed or "staked" in place, typically at the top of a webpage. This means that the header remains visible at the top of the page even when the user scrolls down. This setting is often used to ensure that important navigation elements are always accessible to the user.

  • Header floating: The header of a webpage or application floats over the content. This means that as you scroll down the page, the header remains visible and does not scroll with the rest of the content.

Navigation

By activating the checkbox “Activate the new navigation” it is possible to switch between the new and old navigation styles of the LMS. By default, the new navigation is disabled.
