14.24 Feature Highlights
5 Star Rating of Channel Content
Overview: Channels have received a large update with the introduction of a 5 star rating system for Channel content. The rating can be enabled individually per Channel to provide learners with the ability to either rate consumed content or review ratings of other users before accessing content. The ratings are also visible in the backend Channel Administration functions for content creators to review ratings. This enhancement brings Channels closer to media in catalogues and other popular subscription services or shopping platforms that utilise 5 star ratings.

Benefits and Use Cases: The primary use case is to enable learners to have more interaction with select Channels by recommending content to peers. Further benefits include:
Content rating helps channel users identify how helpful or relevant the content is;
Enabling content consumers to leave feedback to improve content offerings;
Content creators gain impressions of how well content is received in specific channels;
Content is rated per channel and not globally meaning the same content can have differing ratings;
Learners can decide whether ratings are anonymous which can increase likelihood of ratings.
