Releases and Patches

Releases and Patches are the two important forms of software updates regularly delivered to the imc Learning Suite. These updates are used to install enhancements or updates to the software or architecture and to fix software bugs.

• Releases are also referred to as Innovation Packs (or IPs) and are scheduled four times per year. The Innovation Packs deliver new features, updates to existing features, performance enhancements, and often architecture updates.

• Patches primarily serve to deliver fixes to known software defects or security updates. The delivery of patches is more frequent at approximately four week intervals.
