Changing Upload Limits

The imc Learning Suite allows the upload of files such as video files (mp4) or SCORM WBTs. Unless otherwise configured in the implementation project, the LMS has an upload limit of 500 MB. This application-side limit can be adjusted via the Configuration area and can also be changed for individual groups in the LMS.

The upload limit cannot be increased unlimited, if your LMS instance is hosted on the imc cloud, as the network components also used to have a limit of 800 MB by default.

This size has proven to be sufficient for the normal use of video files and WBTs. If you have larger files and would like to integrate them into the application, we recommend that you first check the optimisation of the files. A web-optimised modification of videos is often the better alternative and also prevents learners from having to consume excessive amounts of data.

You can create a ticket in the Service Desk (type request) and the Service Desk team will take care of increasing the upload limit. Please note that due to technical reasons, the maximum upload limit is 2 GB.
